Join us for a day long work party to improve the soil at the new Montgomery College food forest as we get the site ready for planting.
We’re delighted that Ben Friton from the REED Center will show us how to use an auger to break up the compacted soil before we backfill the holes with a mix of native soil, biochar, compost, bokashi pre-compost, food scraps and wood chips. This is a great chance to learn what we can do to heal our urban soils. We'll also be removing invasives and doing a general clean-up. We'd love to see you for all or part of the day so please let us know if you plan on attending by filling out the form below.
When: 1030am to 4pm, March 13th
