Learn how to plant indoor vegetable seeds, make your own soil and build your own DIY grow lights with Master Gardener Mercy Luhanga. Mercy will show you how to sow vegetable seeds in homemade containers that can be kept indoors until the seedlings are ready to plant outside.

She will also demonstrate how to create your own seed-starting soil as an alternative to store-bought mixes. And she’ll show you how to build a budget-friendly grow light setup, offering an economical alternative to purchasing a complete set of grow lights and shelving.

This workshop will also be hands-on so you'll have a chance to sow your own vegetable seeds and take home the container.
